Sustainable Schools NSW
Sustainable Schools NSW is a hub of resources and information for school communities interested in protecting their local environment.
Sustainability is now a cross-curriculum priority in the NSW syllabus, as part of the introduction of the Australian curriculum.
Other sources of environmental and sustainability education
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service
Explore our natural environments and learn about nature, conservation, Aboriginal culture and historic heritage in many different NSW National Parks. Programs are available for primary, secondary and tertiary students and some programs can be delivered at your school.
The Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust
The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah each contain themed environments, which provide the perfect setting for curriculum-linked environmental education excursions and school holiday programs. These experiences enable students to gain the skills and knowledge needed to become environmentally sustainable citizens.
