Annual Reporting for Savings Action Plans
High energy and water using sites with an approved Savings Action Plan are required to submit an annual report detailing the progress of the Plan. The annual report outlines water or energy consumption for a defined 12 month period and reports the status of actions and measures identified in the plan.
DECCW has prepared a simple online reporting tool which allows users to:
-
view and print their approved plan
-
update contact details for their organisation
-
report annual consumption for a user-defined reporting period
-
report on the status of actions identified in their approved savings action plan
-
record newly identified actions and measures
-
view and print draft and completed annual reports
-
submit their annual report online
Who needs to submit an annual report?
All organisations with approved savings action plans are required to submit an annual report on progress of each plan.
When are annual reports required?
Following Ministerial approval of their Savings Action Plan, organisations received a letter of approval confirming the due date for their first annual report.
In general, annual reports are due at end of quarter one year after the date of plan approval (unless otherwise specified). For example, a plan approved by the Minister on 30 April 2009, would be due to submit the first annual report by June 30, 2010.
Annual reports are required for three years post-approval. Savings Action Plans are expected to be reviewed after four years.
How are annual reports submitted?
Annual reports are submitted using a simple online reporting tool. Each designated user is allocated a unique username (which is linked to their approved plan). Users log in using their password and complete sections on general information; annual consumption; management review and actions; and technical measures. Changes may be made to an annual report over multiple logins prior to submission.
Once submitted, an annual report is locked. For further changes contact DECCW (contact details below). Final annual reports are reviewed by DECCW specialists.
If logins and passwords have not been received, or they have been misplaced, please contact your savings specialist.
Confidentiality
DECCW uses 28 bit encryption and login security to ensure user data is available with a login and password only.
