Businesses on Wheels Council Resource Manual

Mobile businesses by their nature are difficult for Councils to regulate. They often have no fixed business address and undertake their activities at a number of locations.

The Environmental Education for Businesses on Wheels: Council Resource Manual is designed to help local councils run environmental education programs for mobile businesses.

It is not intended to be prescriptive, as there is more than one way to deliver effective environmental education to mobile businesses. The direction a particular local program takes will depend on the needs of the businesses in your local government area.

The manual can be used directly with businesses in a local government area, as a model to develop environmental education materials for other types of business or to develop a complete mobile business education program.

This material was developed as part of the Mobile Business Environment Education Program, a partnership between Marrickville Council, the former Resource NSW and NSW EPA (now both part of the Department of Environment and Climate Change NSW) with support from the NSW Government Stormwater Trust.
