Energy Saver Aged-care toolkit

Energy efficient residential aged-care facilities must balance two very high priorities – the comfort of their residents and cutting energy costs.

This toolkit gives energy efficiency information specifically about the operations of residential aged-care facilities and includes an energy efficiency checklist.

This free resource lets facility and maintenance managers inspect their sites and identify energy efficiency projects, costs and savings.

Seek specialist help

Most of the energy saving measures listed in the toolkit are easily implemented, but if your project is more expensive or more complex, please contact the Energy Saver team for assistance.

Energy Saver may be able to subsidise the cost of an energy auditor to provide you with technical or project implementation assistance. This would include preparation of business cases (costs and financial paybacks) for the upgrading of lighting, heating, air conditioning or hot-water savings.
