Singleton South air quality monitoring site is located at the south-eastern end of the Upper Hunter Valley, on the Hunter River, in Haggarty's Lane, Whittingham. Along with Muswellbrook North West station, it is one of two Upper Hunter sites designated as a background site for fine particles.
