Araucaria Ecotours

Araucaria Ecotours runs a regular zoologist-designed three day wildlife tour, departing most Wednesdays throughout the year from Brisbane.

We share our enjoyment of the wonderful diversity of wildlife in our region. We also aim to enhance an understanding of Australia's wildlife and its ecology and what makes Australia so different from other regions. We visit several kinds of rainforest, open forest, wetlands, sandy and rocky shores and mangroves.

Accommodation is either camping or a beautiful bed and breakfast. The second day of the tour is spent mostly in the lush rainforests of Border Ranges National Park, where we also see the centre of the ancient volcano that formed these ranges.

Both day and night, we look for mammals, birds, reptiles and other wildlife. Tours are suitable for all ages and fitness levels and we can customise tours for four or more people.
