Beechwood Cottage, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

Beechwood Cottage was originally built in 1882 when sailors, convicts and even pirates survived in these parts! Today this beautifully restored cottage can be hired out for conferences, functions and other special occasions.

The house is on the western shore of Pittwater, in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. It has one large function room, a kitchen and a verandah at the front and rear. The large fenced yard complements the already relaxed and informal atmosphere of the cottage. There is equipment to cater to up to 60 people inside the cottage, but larger groups may choose to take advantage of the yard, which has plenty of space to install a marquee.

Availability

Beechwood Cottage is available for use between sunrise and 10pm.

Venue hire fees

It costs $500 per day to hire Beechwood Cottage, plus landing fees of $3 (adults) or $2 (children under 16 years). A security deposit of $550 is also required. All fees include GST.

Hiring conditions

  • The cottage must be vacated by 10pm sharp, or another full day's fee will be charged. Extra cleaning time may be granted between 8am - 10am the day after the booking
  • Music is permitted but must not interfere with the enjoyment of other park visitors and neighbours
  • Overnight stay is not permitted in Beechwood Cottage
  • As Beechwood Cottage is in a national park, no pets are permitted.

Bookings

Use of the venue is negotiated on an individual basis, and advance bookings are essential. The hire fees and security deposit must be paid in full at least three weeks prior to the date of the function (excluding landing fees).

Cancellations

If you cancel your booking more than three weeks before the first day of your function, we will refund your deposit and any fees paid, less a $22 administration fee.

We will not refund your deposit if you cancel your booking less than three weeks before the first day of your function.
