Overseas travel reports

New Zealand – April 2013

The Honourable Robyn Parker MP, NSW Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage visited New Zealand from 10 to 11 April 2013 on behalf of the NSW Government.

The Minister attended the Council of Australian Governments’ (COAG) Standing Council on Environment and Water. The meeting was hosted by the Hon Amy Adams, Minister for the Environment, New Zealand and attended by Ministers for environment and water from all Australian states and territories.

Korea – September 2012

The Honourable Robyn Parker MP, NSW Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage visited South Korea from the 8 – 10 July 2012 on behalf of the NSW Government.

The Minister attended the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress in Jeju as an official guest. The Congress was co-hosted by the Governments of the Republic of Korea and the Self-Governing Province of Jeju.

Lord Howe Island - July 2011

The Honourable Robyn Parker MP, NSW Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage recently undertook an official visit to Lord Howe Island (27-30 July 2011).

The primary purpose of the trip was to engage directly with the elected Board members and staff on their home ground and, importantly, to meet face-to-face with community representatives and undertake site visits, so the Minister could obtain a much better appreciation of the key issues of concern to the Island community, their priorities and expectations of Government.

United Kingdom, Europe and USA - July 2010

The Honourable Frank Sartor MP, NSW Minister for Climate Change and the Environment, Paul O'Grady, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Lisa Corbyn, Director General, NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water recently undertook an overseas trip (7-21 July 2010) to United Kingdom, Europe and United States of America.

The purpose of the two week trip was to review the status and progress of key environmental programs and policies internationally, in order to inform further development and reform of NSW environmental policies and programs.
