Policy documents
Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), OEH must make all of its current policy documents that guide its decisions, actions and procedures in fulfilling its public functions available on its websites (unless there are overriding public interest reasons why this cannot be done).
Policy documents are those documents that OEH uses which affect or are likely to affect rights, privileges or other benefits, obligations, penalties or other detriments to which members of the public are or may become entitled, eligible, liable or subject. They include:
- documents containing interpretations, rules, guidelines, statements of policy, practices or precedents
- documents containing particulars of an administrative scheme
- documents containing a statement of the manner, or intended manner, of administration of any legislative instrument or administrative scheme
- documents describing the procedures to be followed in investigating any contravention or possible contravention of any legislative instrument or administrative scheme
-
other similar documents.
OEH’s policy documents will be progressively placed on its websites if they are not already there.
A list of policy documents was previously published in the Government Gazette.
If you would like a copy of a policy document that is not on OEH’s websites, please refer to the contact arrangements set out in the Publication guide.
