Simpson-Strzelecki Dunefields - climate
The Simpson-Strzelecki Dunefields Bioregion is very arid and has unpredictable rainfall, which generally averages from 150-200 mm per year (Morgan and Terrey 1992). It is one of four bioregions, all in the far north-west of the state, that are dominated by a hot, persistently dry desert climate (Stern et al. 2000).
