About us

Heritage management

One of OEH's goals is to integrate landscape management for long term ecological, social and economic sustainability. How can the historical and community values of heritage collections, places and landscapes be incorporated into a holistic management framework?

OEH’s operational research focuses on the conservation management of specific heritage items. We undertake research to identify, assess and manage the culture and heritage values of significant places by commissioning conservation plans, regional studies and Aboriginal Place investigations and by maintaining heritage registers.
