Statement of significance:

Good example of mid-Victorian architecture. Part of corner group.

Construction years: 1858-
Physical description: Two storey brick stuccoed and ruled into ashlar. Projecting quoins cast iron columns and lace two storey verandah. Two sides concave verandah roofs.


Historical notes: Record of improvements made to Bonegilla House in 1873.

Recommended management:

Historical association. Named after the cattle run formed in 1835 by William Wyse within weeks of the formation of the "Mungabareena" run. "Bonegilla" variously said to mean "the big waterhole","deep water" or the "big cattle camp". Sympathetic renovations have been recently carried out. Further research recommended.
