Construction years: 1910-
Physical description: A large brick house occupying a corner site on the fringe of Albury's commercial area, built c.1910, it is rectangular in plan with large 45 degree angled bay with gable over oriented to the street corner. The verandah and side porch have exceptionally elaborate and finely detailed timber valances and supporting structures. The hipped and gabled iron roof is given added interest by ornate chimneys and beautiful Art Nouveau leaf and flower designs to the gable ends. The lead lighted windows of casement style are similarly decorated and have shingled spandrels at projecting bays. Further interest is given by large circular windows and glazed doors. A well detailed brick and iron fence complements the whole composition. The building is well maintained and presently used as a private hostel.

Recommended management:

Further research recommended. See items 92 and 149 regarding fence.
