Statement of significance:

A typical local Federation cottage. This example is slightly more decorative than most and survives essentially intact. Set in attractive well planted garden area.

Description

Construction years: 1910-
Physical description: Modest weatherboard cottage. Standard Federation design with L-shaped plan arrangement. High pitched pyramidal roof with gabled front projection. Skillion verandah with decorative timber brackets and valence. Paired double hung windows below gable. Small finial above. Needs maintenance but little altered. Good front hedge. Dense planting around.
Modifications and dates: Maintenance needed but appears hardly altered.
Further information: Site visit 2009: new roofing and guttering; new windows on left hand side and large kitchen window added at rear; small verandah at rear; unsympathetic screen door at front; large downpipe at front of house; hedge covering old fence at front.
