Statement of significance:

This precinct is of local significance which comprises mixed housing styles ranging from Victorian to interwar, with mature street planting ,evidence of Garden Suburb development in Burwood.

Construction years: 1874-1918
Physical description: No.15 and 17 Roberts St represent Victorian housing whilst No.33,Helikon adds variety to the streetscape with its classical fa├žade and its Victorian detailing. Good quality Federation housing with decorative timber detailing is represented by No. 9 Cooper St and 20 Moseley St. The Arts and Crafts style housing at 22 Moseley and 29 Roberts Streets are of particular note.This houses with their variety of roof forms add a picturesque quality to the precinct. Nos 24-32 Moseley St is a uniform group of 1930s dark brick(infill) housing.Moseley St is well landscaped with Jacaranda Mimosifolia. The trees which are planted in the verge are beginning to arch across the street.


Historical notes: The pecinct has been developed in the period of 1874-1918 as a garden suburb context.
