This Precinct is of local significance for its retention of a wide range of well designed houses set within mature gardens.

Description

Construction years: 1874-1950
Physical description: Badminton Road- A gently undulating street that reveals the subdivision pattern. Ooma and 23 and 29 are Victorian villas with Edwardian subdivision occuring between them. Numbers 9,11,31,33 and 35 are Federation houses. Numbers 32,34,36,46-58 and 47-53 are examples of Inter-war housing. Number 12 is a 1950's development.
Kelso Street- Predominantly low scale. Modern road works have altered the character of the streetscape. Two palms are still existing. Federation housing is represented by numbers 9,13,16,19 and 21. Inter-war housing is represented by numbers 4,6,7,11,18,24,26 and 28.

History

Historical notes: This precinct situated in what was formerly the Enfield Municipality, includes housing from Victorian villas through to the 1950's.
