Statement of significance:

This substantially intact precinct is of local significance as displaying many qualities of early twentieth century housing, similar to the Malvern Hill Conservation area. It is representative example of bungalow development in the Municipality.

Construction years: 1874-1920
Physical description: Tahlee and Devonshire Streets are adjacent to the Malvern Hill Conservation area and they display many streetscape qualities found in the Conservation area.
Housing is generally of a low scale with mixed styles, featuring Victorian and Federation and dominated by c1920s bungalows. Construction is predominantly brick with tile or slate roofs, symmetrical facades, leadlight windows, small front verandahs with simple timber decoration.


Historical notes: The housing in the precinct are dating from Victorian era to 1920s.
