Statement of significance:

The roof form is typically Federation but combines with the distinctive local verandah variation. Projecting gables, window hoods and timber decoration generally are also details of interest.

Physical description: Outstanding turn of the century weatherboard cottage at important corner location. Forms matching pair with No. 236 ("Moira"). Steep pitched corrugated iron roof. Gambrelled main roof, extending down over verandah, with gable to Brisbane Street. Simple barge boards and timber finial. Walls of feathered boarding, including gable end which projects out from wall below. Curved pressed metal hood over windows below is of special note. Windows are simple casement pairs. Stop chamfered verandah posts with attractive slatted valences. Important streetscape location presently spoiled by paling fence. Fence and verandah balustrade should be reinstated.(SEE No. 236) Otherwise almost intact. One of few well maintained timber cottages of this period.
