History

Historical notes: There is no early history for this dwelling but Sewer Plans dated 19/6/1940 show the owner was T.W.S. (possibly Thomas William Spence) Boorman. Boorman also owned the next door cottage135 Villiers Street. The Boorman family were early settlers on the Clarence and many of this very large family settled at Southgate. At that time the street address was 103 Villiers Street.

By 1991 the owner was D.J & S.L. Dahl. Approval for a garage and laundry was given in 1993. In 1998 a driveway was constructed from Villiers Street to the house. Previously access to this and another five other dwelling was via a rear easement. To an extent this has destroyed part of the unique streetscape in this section of Villiers street.
