Statement of significance:

This Federation styled weatherboard cottage with its projecting front gable, is historically significant indicating growth in Grafton, particularly in Alice Street, at the turn of the century. It is well maintained and representative of its type and contributes to the historic fabric of Alice Street.

Physical description: Single storey originally four roomed Federation weatherboard cottage with projecting front gable and bull-nosed verandah. Steeply pitched corrugated iron roof. Attractive front window with moulded timber surrounds. Plain posts support the verandah (probably new). French door to the verandah. Metal sunhoods over side windows. Rendered front steps flanked by piers with rusticated finish. No front fence.

Well maintained.

2005 Development application for verandah addition.
Further information: Colourbond fence to side and front does not complement this well maintained Federation cottage.

Historical notes: Early history of the building is unknown but drainage plans dated 1939 show the owner as P.C. Stevens. Since the 1990s it has had several owners.
