Good example of a transitional turn-of-the-century house. One of the oldest in this area and still one of the finest. Retains its generous landscaped grounds. The form is traditional Australian Georgian whilst the detail and styling has both Victorian and Federation elements. Exquisitely detailed and virtually intact.

Encircling verandah in bullnosed iron. Supported by cast iron posts with lace brackets and valance. Tuck pointed face brick in Flemish bond. Quoining in light brick. Central door with side lights and skylight. French doors either side with shutters. Bracketed eaves. Fine moulded chimneys. Face brick and fence indicate construction in Federation period. Details such as iron lace and mouldings are carry-overs from the Victorian era. Set back from street in well planted grounds. Original brick fence with wrought iron infill. Appears intact.
