Statement of significance:

Federation period house with good quality brick and timber decoration. Forms a matching pair with No 54 and built for the same family. Let down by recent second storey addition.

Physical description: Federation period house. Traditional 'L' plan. Steeply pitched terracotta tile roof. Exposed rafters. Roof bellcast over recessed verandah supported on timber posts with curved brackets. Weatherboard balustrade. Bichromatic brick walls with darker brick quoins and window surrounds. Projecting vertical brick courses and string course to gable. Roughcast gable projecting bay window beneath. Stone fence/retaining wall.


Historical notes: Constructed in 1904. Built for the same family as No 54.
