Construction years: 1922-
Physical description: It is a large two storey brick residence whose style suggests the English Arts and Crafts movement. It features face brick walls, multicoloured roof tiles and terracotta shingled or plain tile gables and dormer windows set into a steeply pitched roof. The main elevation is dominated by a central porte-cochere with a picturesque colonnade, circular pool and gravel drives. A well maintained and extensive garden compliments the house. The interior features polished tallow-wood floors, timber panelling, cedar joinery, polished brass kitchen and door fittings, some original kitchen and bathroom tiling, window seats set into bays overlooking the garden and in an alcove beside the fireplace in the large living-dining room space which extends across the house. There have been some alterations and modernisation, mainly to install an en-suit bathroom and change room, which do not detract from the house (National Trust).
Modifications and dates: Substantially intact

Historical notes: Built for G.J. Peak to the design of J.Specer Stansfield. Historical period: 1921-1940.
