Historical notes: Built by the Brooks family in 1887 to replace an earlier house on the site. The house is rumoured to have been occupied by the lover of Thomas Brooks of Carisbrook. Single storey brick house with a slate roof. A bullnosed galvanised iron verandah return around two sides. The central entry stone stairs lead to front verandah which has been extended outwards. Cast iron columns have been retained. Timber front door has side lights and fanlights. Later additions to the rear.
