Statement of significance:

Outstanding Federation house, one of the best rural examples in the City. Attractively detailed and in excellent condition. Enjoys a wonderful landscape setting, complete with trees and church nearby (see landscape item 30045). Prominently sited on a hilltop near the river. High local significance.

Physical description: Federation house above church, on rise to the south. Orientated to the north. Symmetrical design. Complex iron roof with prominent central gable. Wrap around verandah. Decorative timber work to gable and verandah of special note. Original windows and doors. Good trees around. Enjoys commanding views in 3 directions. Prominent on approaches from north and east. Forms a good grouping with church and trees on the hilltop.
Modifications and dates: Good condition and little altered.


Historical notes: Most likely was the manse for the adjoining church.
