Statement of significance:

A rural home of great distinction. One of the best in the City. Form and detailing are more in keeping with the late Victorian era. Styling is rare locally. In excellent condition. New work appears true to the original. Further investigation of history required. Regional significance.

Description

Construction years: 1904-1904
Physical description: Outstanding Federation house, prominently sited beside the main road. Stone at entranceway reads "Ermello Alphaville 1904". Weatherboard with complex, all gabled, iron roof. Bullnosed verandah on three sides. Decorative timberwork to verandahs and steep pitched gables. Large canted bay below one of two front (south facing) gables. Small coloured panes to double hung windows. French doors to verandahs. Trees to front and rear. Steps up to front verandah. (Not inspected closely.)
Modifications and dates: Recently restored/reconstructed with minor additions to rear. Work appears authentic. Excellent condition.
