This shop interior is representative of the shop interiors which were constructed during the c1930s.

Description

Physical description: The ornate moulded plaster ceiling, cornices and architraves are extant. The original opening to the rear of the shop has also been retained. This opening has carved wooden columns. The original tiling to the floor of the front entrance and the original door is still in place.

Modifications and dates: The floor has recently been tiled and modern lighting has been suspended from a lattice on the roof to avoid interfering with the original ceiling. Otherwise, there are minor modifications.
