Description

Designer/Maker: Not known
Builder/Maker: S. H. Cabban
Physical description: Federation Free Classical. Group of four Free Classical residences, employing typical Federation materials such as red-brown face brickwork, Marseilles-pattern terracotta roof tiles and inlcude details such as roughcast panels in the chimneys and terracotta cresting tiles. Yet the Free Classical style, employing elements such as moulded string courses and window architraves is very much a continuation of the Victorian Free Classical and gives the house an overall Victorian Italianate look.
Modifications and dates: Minor Alteration.

History

Historical notes: Part of the Frascati Estate subdivision of 1886, the row of houses was constructed by builder S. H. Cabban in 1897-98. These were the first of many houses constructed by Cabban in Mosman.
