Statement of significance:

A good representative example of a Federation Queen Anne residence and the middle to high income residential development which occurred in Mosman at the turn of the century. The house has been designed to take advantage of an elevated corner site and is a prominent feature in the streetscape.

Physical description: Federation Queen Anne. A single storey Federation Queen Anne residence located on a sloping corner site, with views to two-storey over Middle Harbour. The red terracotta hipped roof with gables, tall roughcast rendered chimneys, dominant two-storey corner tower with shingle tile roof and walls and decorative verandah timberwork typify the Federation Queen Anne style. Unsympathetic dormer addition.
Modifications and dates: Unsympathetic Minor Alteration.

History

Historical notes: Listing on 1988 Heritage Study concludes that this house was probably built about 1903, shortly after the property was subdivided.
