Statement of significance:

Imposing and dramatic early twentieth century residential flats building and garages of the Federation Free style displaying competent design.Intact interiors across the whole building are of significance. Combination of various stylistic motifs. Demonstrates the trend towards residential flats in harbourside locations occuring at time.

Physical description: Three storey brick flats building with a hipped and gabled roof of terracotta tiles. It features asymmetrical three bay facade, the outer two comprising a full height faceted bay windows with timber shingle spandrels between floors and the central bay features a ground floor classical portico with a geometric brick and stucco decorative panel above. Garges with original glazed garage doors. Original room configuration still evident. Original patterned plaster ceilings and joinery throughout apartments. Most of the original joinery has original unpainted finish. Original glazed doorswithin apartments and front doors to apartments. Milk/bread delivery cupboards present. This building is designed in the Federation Free style.

Further information: Note original Interior: totally intact including original common terrazzo stairs. Also patterned ceilings, decorative joinery, fireplaces in apartments. Original kitchens and bathrooms evident in 2008. Consent given to modify kitchens and bathrooms.
