History

Historical notes: Probably built 1912-14. The land and the lot behind was bought for œ 58 in August 1901, by Frederick Joseph Rose, carpenter of Granville. The land was mortgaged in 1903 for œ175 and in 1912 for œ350. The first mortgage probably enabled Rose to build the cottage he occupied facing Milton Street and the second probably was related to the erection of this property. In July 1917 Rose agreed to sell No.14 Margaret Street, named "Tuena" to James William Boughey, wagon builder for œ475.
