Statement of significance:

The house at 205 Marsden Road is of significance for the local area for historical reasons, and as a representative example of Federation cottages in the area. The house, built c.1905, presents as part of the historic building stock in the area, and makes an important contribution to the streetscape and its character.

Construction years: 1905-
Physical description: The house at 205 Marsden Road is a single storey weatherboard cottage with hipped roof covered with corrugated iron. Front verandah with hip corners is supported on turned timber stop-chamfered posts, and covered with bullnose iron. Window shutters are still operational. Front door has transom lights and sidelights around timber four panelled door with tulip design stained glazing. Brick chimneys with steps and dog tooth decoration below. Picket fence with flat tops is probably a cut down version of the original. Wire mesh panel gate attached to pipe frame. Additions include a hip addition across rear, and a brick garage.
