Statement of significance:

The cottage at 45 Station Street is of significance for the local area for historical and aesthetic reasons and as a representative example of Federation cottages in the local area. Built c.1915, the house still makes a strong contribution to the streetscape.

Description

Construction years: 1915-
Physical description: Single storey house is with corrugated iron roof on weatherboard walls. Pyramid roof is with projecting gable. One brick chimney is with steps and squat terracotta pots. Verandah has timber floor and bullnose corrugated iron roof across front to projecting gable, supported by turned timber columns. Windows have timber decorative under sills. Gable window has skillion corrugated iron roof over, with decorative timber brackets. Front door has timber glazed square upper pane with three recessed vertical panels below lock rail. Front fence is low brick fence with brick coping.
