Description

Construction years: 1887-
Physical description: Single storey weatherboard cottage. Gable roof covered with galvanised iron. Front verandah with ogee iron roof. Timber boards at front cut to imitate ashlar stonework. Rear skillion joins outbuilding at rear. (This outbuilding is not shown on 1933 Water Board plan.) National Trust (Parramatta Branch): Fabric: Corrugated iron roof on weatherboard walls with sandstone block pattern. Roof Construction: Gable with timber finial. Verandah: Ogee corrugated iron roof. Across front only. Verandah Floor: Floor removed. Verandah Supports: Timber posts. Verandah Decoration: Window Sill: Timber. Fence: Timber picket. Additions: Separate gabled building at rear and attached by skillion addition. Archit Style: Federation workers single-storey cottage. Front Door: Modern timber four panel door with diamond patterned stencil in glazed upper panels and bolection moulded panels below.
