Statement of significance:

All Saints Anglican Church is of significance for the local area for historical and aesthetic reasons and as a representative example of a mid-19th Century church. It was designed by local architect and builder, James Houison and his partner, stonemason Nathaniel Payten, and later modified by Edmund Blacket and, again, Houison. It is a rare example of this age and quality in the local area. The site is also associated with Reverend William Gore (who purchased windows and was instrumental in getting the bells for the church), and with Reverend Samuel Marsden (who earlier donated the land). The church makes a major contribution to the Parramatta townscape. The site possesses potential to further contribute to an understanding of early urban development in Parramatta.
