Statement of significance:

House at 69 Weston Street is of significance for the local area for historical and representativeness reasons. Built c.1915, it is readily identifiable as part of historic building stock and is contributing to the streetscape and conservation area character with its scale, form and materials.

Construction years: 1911-
Physical description: Single storey Federation cottage has terracotta tiled roof with ridge capping and exposed rafters on tuck pointed brick walls. Gambrel roof is with bell cast roof extending over verandah and gabled entrance. Gable is decorated with spatterdash and timber strap work. Gabled roof extends across the rear elevation with painted shingles and a simple timber ladder screen in each gable. There are two tall stepped corbelled brick chimneys with squat terracotta pots. Verandah has timber floor and timber posts with chamfered stops. Verandah is decorated with solid timber arched valance with incised circle in each curve either side of verandah posts. Eastern elevation verandah is enclosed. Windows have sandstone sills and soldier brick curved arches. Exterior French doors to front and side elevations have timber louvre shutters and transom light over timber glazed panels above lock rail with bolection moulded panels below. Front door has transom light over 3/4 sidelights Federation five panelled door decorated with stained glazed leadlight panels. There are also two small stained glazed panels over a single large centre panel above the lock rail and timber bolection mould panels below. Front fence is Paddington timber picket fence and gate.
