Statement of significance:

House at 80 Weston Street is of significance for the local area for historical, aesthetic and representativeness reasons. Built c.1920, it is readily identifiable as part of historic building stock and is contributing to the streetscape and conservation area character with its scale, form and materials.

Construction years: 1920-
Physical description: Single storey Federation house has terracotta tiled roof with exposed rafters, decorative ridge capping and horns on tuck pointed brick walls set on rendered foundations with contrasting dark brick quoins and crockets on ridgeline. Gambrel bell cast roof has projecting gable to front and west elevations with spatterdash and timber strap work in gables. There is one spatterdash brick chimney with terracotta pots. Terracotta tiled roof on return verandah is extending from main roof and is supported by chamfered paired timber posts set on low brick curved balustrade with caps and contrasting bullnose brick coping. Verandah has ceramic tiled risers, marble steps and geometric tiled floor. Verandah is decorated with fine timber arches between timber posts. Windows have sloping brick sills and segmented arches are over verandah windows. Front bay window has Federation decorative timber brackets with terracotta roof over. Front door has segmented arch in glazed fanlight and glazed upper pane above three panels. Half glazed timber sidelights. Front fence is aluminium spearhead palisade fence and gate. There is large gabled addition at rear.
