Statement of significance:

The house "Kergunyah" at 186 Windsor Road is of significance for the local area for historical and aesthetic reasons, and as a representative example of Federation Arts and Crafts houses in the Parramatta area. The house, built c. 1900, makes an important contribution to the streetscape enhanced by its place in the group of houses of similar age, design, use and materials.

Construction years: 1900-
Physical description: Single storey double fronted late Federation weatherboard cottage with gablet roof clad in corrugated iron. Gablet roof with projecting gable to front elevation has a simple gable screen with finial. The return verandah (across front and south elevation to projecting gable) has bullnose profile and hip corner, and decorative timber ladder valance with curved brackets. It features timber floor, and timber stop chamfered posts. Windows have scrolled timber undersills and skillion, narrow corrugated iron awnings supported by ladder brackets. Fence is of painted aluminium cyclone wire, with wire mesh panel attached to pipe frame. Front door has a transom light above the door with narrow sidelights.
