One of the only historic buildings in Seaham to survive the 1939 bushfires.

Historical notes: St Andrew's Church was built in 1860. The corner stone was laid by the Anglican Bishop of Newcastle, the Rt Revd William Tyrrell on 28th March 1860. The completed church was dedicated on 17th January 1861 and consecrated on 30th July 1902 by the then Bishop, the Rt Revd Dr Stanton. The church was one of the few building saved in the January 1939 bushfires. The pews and altar which are still in use were constructed by Mr J Wallace, a Seaham resident.
