Statement of significance:

One of the area's best examples of a 1930's Moderne style, on a prominent corner site. Characterised by corner turrets with parapets, and typical detailing. Seriously compromised by recent rendering of original face brick. This has robbed the building of much of its original character. Local significance.

Construction years: 1915-1945
Physical description: Good 1940's style house in the Moderne or Oceana style. Strong Art Deco influence. Prominent corner site. Designed to be viewed from various angles rather than one street frontage. Originally light brick, recently rendered and painted (seer earlier photo). Two storeys. Complex plan with round towers on corners. Typical use of glass bricks in vertical features to corner stairwell tower. Other towers have metal frame windows. Parapets to each tower rising above the eaves line. Parapet forms combined with tiled, hipped roof and roof terraces make up the roofscape. Basement in render with grooved bands. Small Juliert balcony. Period garden elements. Interior said to be in Art Deco style.
