Statement of significance:

Impressive, twentieth century, school building. A good example of its period, displaying a Spanish Mission influence. Essentially unaltered. Part of the school's history and contributing to an important grouping including church, convent, schools and Scarba House. Local significance.

Construction years: 1915-1945
Physical description: Large symmetrical style twentieth century school building. Two storeys to street with third storey to the rear. Strong Spanish Mission influence in terms of form and styling, but decoration generally restrained. Face brick plinth, remainder is all roughcast. Slate roof with parapet gables to street. Large projecting, central section with smaller projections either side, set further back. High narrow windows with arched brick heads. Brick also used for decoration on gabled parapets.

Historical notes: Land was acquired for the northern expansion of the school in 1907. This building built in 1929. Accommodated manual training, science and general classrooms. (Source: Dowd, pp. 197-199).
