Statement of significance:

Sandstone fountain with ornamental pillar on top of basin. Pillar decorated with bands of foliate carving. Inscription on front reads: "Waverley District Cricket Club. Erected to the memory of Charles W. Gregory by his clubmates and admirers. Nov. 1911". On the three other sides of the fountain basin are later inscriptions reading, on west: "James Webb accidently killed 30.1.65", on north "Victor Jackson accidently killed 30.1.65", on east: "Peter Fingleton accidently killed 30.1.65", clearly referring to an accident at the club or involving three club members. The word "accidentally" is misspelled each time. This local memorial is of obvious community significance.
