Intact, representative Federation Bungalow in good condition.

Privately owned front garden with period elements and characteristic planting of c.1920s, enhancing a bungalow of the same period. Contributes to a group of Inter-War period gardens, notable in the streetscape of a major arterial road.

Description

Physical description: Federation Bungalow in liver brick with hipped and gabled terracotta tiled roof. Exposed rafters, simple bargeboard and finial. Sandstone below casement windows. Good Art Nouveau leadlighting in windows, sidelights and door. Tesselated tiles to path and verandah. Original brick and wire mesh front fence in front of a deep, well planted garden.

Densely planted front garden hiding a liver brick bungalow (c.1925). Matching piered, liver brick front fence with cement caps, steel pipe and chain wire panels. Steel front gate with decorative steel scroll design and matching double driveway gates. Tesselated tile path and terrazzo steps. Mature cyress pines (c.1930-50s) massed across front border. Also camellias, blue spruce (c.8m from c.1950) and low planting of ferns, clivea and lillies.
