Statement of significance:

A fine example of the Californian Bungalow style at Abbotsford demonstrating the quality of detailing and design that was achieved in the better examples of the style. The building with the adjacent no. 3 has good streetscape value and demonstrates sub-division patterns that have continued throughout the history of the area.

Description

Physical description: A fine Inter-War Californian Bungalow built on the subdivided land from the adjacent Federation Bungalow at 3 Poolman Street. The building has a major tiled roof with two smaller hipped roofs at the front and a central gabled roof over the verandah. The verandah is supported on stub columns on brick piers and has half timbered compressed cement sheeting. Windows are casements, projecting behond the brick line with window covering in typical bungalow style. The house is symmetrical and well detailed.
