Description

Construction years: 1912-
Physical description: A well maintained single storey federation house orientated towards the River, this retains most of its original detailing - including a simple timber boatshed raised over the intertidal zone with slips to the water.
Further information: Thematic Context: A Place of Residence Suburban to Sydney - Federation Suburbs.

History

Historical notes: This area was subdivided in 1912, but was only lightly settled at that time and much of the surrounding housing is of a later date. Of the Federation houses this is the only one on the foreshore which has retained its original character. The close relationship between this house and its river setting is relatively unusual on the upper reaches of the River - much of the later housing relating to the street behind.
