Statement of significance:

These E.C. Manfred Federation designed houses are complimentary in their styling and are of local heritage significance. They are also important as part of the portfolio of the Manfred architectural designs.
No 213: Built by James Armstrong for Charles W Furner in 1885, this brick and slate roof residence retains original detail and is relatively intact. C W Furner was a retailer and was Mayor of Goulburn for 1930-31.
No 215: Also built by James Armstrong, this brick and tile roof residence was built for Thomas Henry Martyn in 1885 and retails detail and is relatively intact.
Both residences were built with the same floor plan, however had decorative variations added later. The principal entrance to each dwelling is at the side which is unusual.
