Statement of significance:

"Brigadoon" was erected c. 1890, with bricks believed to have been made on the property. This residence presents many of the hallmarks of an Early Edwardian dwelling overlain on Queen Anne style of the late 1890s. The building fabric is significantly intact and the property has heritage value for its placement in the overall cultural landscape of Gundary Plains area.
"Wyadra" originally named "Wyad Derra", was erected in 1889 on the land originally granted to John Walker for Brisbane Grove. "Wyadra" resembles earlier architectural styles although assumes a much grander, ornate appearance incorporating elements of the Italianate and filigree forms of the later Victorian ‘Boom’ period. The property is significant because much of the original fabric of the building had been retained, and it is part of the original Brisbane Grove historical landscape.
