Statement of significance:

Attractively reconstructed stone building, retaining much of its original fabric. Would be one of the oldest surviving buildings in the Waverley Council area, and one of the best in the historic Charing Cross precinct. (See accompanying archaeological inventory form). Local significance.

Construction years: 1890-1890
Physical description: Old stone building in domestic style. Two storeys with symmetrical fa├žade. Simple gabled form, repeated at rear. New cusped barge boards to side gables. Original slate roof. Double verandah is an authentic reconstruction. Skillion roof supported by simple timber posts with moulded capitals. Slatted balustrades. Double hung windows either side of main door. Three french doors above.
Current use: Pre-School Learning Centre
Former use: Dwelling house


Historical notes: Formerly known as "Westgate House" (?). Believed to date from early 1860's. Now in community use.
