Statement of significance:

Siteworks for the Wisteria House gardens are of historical and aesthetic significance providing an intact contemporary landscape for the Wisteria House with Japanese stylistic influences evident.

Physical description: Large extensively modelled and terraced grounds surround Western House on the banks of the Parramatta River. Features include bridges, weirs, sandstone walling and gates.


Historical notes: Garden site was extensively terraced between 1890 and 1920.
