The North Shore Historical Society is dedicated to sharing the history of the area and has developed a number of historical walks. Walk number 10 includes Tarella as stop number 2. This beautiful house was built in 1874. It was the home of Sir Joseph Palmer Abbott, a politician who participated in the convention that developed the Australian Constitution.
